19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden championship for 882 days with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid period, winning just one match at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in particular - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with long-time trainer his previous coach.
Currently working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the past month - peaking in a closely contested competitive win over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks the player's initial championship since the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt from spring of the previous year.
Success also signifies the Russian has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to get a title is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, featuring in that event in the past months.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and frequent emotional displays on court had prompted observers to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was over.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, attempting to come to the net and perform assertively, reinforced by an improved service.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, securing four of the final five points to take the lead.
The competitors traded breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his first ATP Tour victory, seized the initiative to force a decider.
The opponent rescued four initial chances in a close deciding set before the champion won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev secured victory with a point at the net, with Moutet incapable to control a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
