Cars in Germany's Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Police reported they were contacted by a man who noticed a vehicle in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Approximately 50 vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Cars, walls and postal boxes were marked, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Officers say they were contacted late on Wednesday evening, when a resident observed that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued substance.

The fluid had been placed in the form of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Officers then discovered multiple other smeared automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under laws prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Officials report initial examinations show the substance was probably human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to where it came from; investigators are currently not informed of any harm in association with the event," they stated.

City officials stated they were attempting "to resolve the mystery" and have requested to the residents for information.

A senior official said the incident made him speechless and had to be addressed quickly.

"This act strikes at the core of Hanau and revives the pain of the far-right attack five years ago," he posted on social media, mentioning the murder of nine victims by a assailant focusing on individuals of foreign heritage in five years prior.
